3. Password Security

Your password is secured using one-way hashing (encryption) , meaning it is not stored in plain text and cannot be retrieved by anyone. We will never ask you for your password—neither our staff nor any third party will ever request it. If you forget your password, please use the “I forgot my password” feature to reset it.

We strongly recommend that you:

Do not reuse the same password across multiple websites.
Use a strong, unique password for your account.
Guard your password carefully and log out of your account when using shared devices.

4. Data Storage and Hosting

Your information is stored in a database and file system managed either by us (if we host the Application) or by you (if you choose to self-host).

If we host the Application: Your data is stored on servers located in NetfinnFinland´s servers and is protected by data protection laws applicable in that jurisdiction.
If you self-host: You are the data controller. This Privacy Policy applies to the software itself, but you are responsible for the security and legal compliance of your own server environment.

5. Data Sharing and Third Parties

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. However, we may share information in the following circumstances:

Service Providers: We may engage trusted third parties to perform functions such as hosting, data analytics, or customer support. These parties are contractually obligated to handle your data securely and only as instructed.
Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, or in response to valid requests by public authorities (e.g., a court order).
Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
